Napatree Beach (the Kitchens)
- Location: Narragansett Bay
- Mile Marker: Watch Hill
- Lat / Lon: N 41° 18.998' / W 071° 52.271'
- Depth: 7-9 ft
- Description:
Crowded! It is not at all unusual to see 200 or more boats anchored here over a sunny summer weekend. The Atlantic Ocean is but a short walk over the dunes. Dinghies land or anchor by the dozens on the bay side of Napatree Beach. To the west, about a 1-mile pleasant beach walk to Napatree Point, are the still-visible remains of Fort Mansfield, a pre-World War I shore battery destroyed by the hurricane of 1938. (Note: It is infested with ticks.)
