- Description: If all that is wanted is a quiet anchorage free of bugs, then in prevailing winds the preferred location is to the SE behind the reef and its inner shoal (Bajo Chinchorro), but the Guarda may not be too happy about this choice. Instead they may direct you to an anchorage behind Cayo Moa. Both anchorages provide excellent protection in prevailing winds (NE to SE) but not in a norther.
