  We stayed here with a buddy boat in late July of 2022. Be sure to stay centered and follow the contours into this bay. We saw no less than 9 feet of water on entry. We anchored in 10 feet of water. The bottom is mud with few weeds but the mud is not particularly deep before the anchor touched rock. It took two tries to get our Rocna to set firmly. For extra caution to reduce our swing from the west and northwest winds, we dropped a second anchor. Several places to go ashore. There are no cottages to be seen but wind turbines on the reservation to the north are in view. Limited cell service on Verizon. This was a very quiet place to watch meteors.
