- Description:
On the east side of Cape Eleuthera or Powell Point as it is also known there are several man made basins that are part of a resort and residential development. In the largest basin there is room for 1 or 2 vessels to anchor. The bottom is sand and the holding is good but there is no shore access. There is good protection from east through west winds, but the entrance to the basin is exposed to the north. Be prepared to close up your boat at sunset as the bugs inside can be fierce.
