Isle Royale, MI

Isle Royale is the largest island in Lake Superior at 45 miles long and 9 miles wide. The big island is encircled by smaller ones of all shapes and sizes, creating a fishing mecca and a magnificent cruising ground with countless hideaway harbors.

Sustaining a remarkable variety of animal, geological and botanical specimens, Isle Royale is a beloved wilderness escape for hikers and naturalists, both amateur and professional. Secluded anchorages abound and many are equipped with small park docks with depths ranging from 5 to 10 feet at their outer ends.
