Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 44'
Draft: 4.0'This was a wonderful stop. The lock grounds are immaculately kept and the staff could not be more friendly. The grounds have picnic tables and barbeques. We docked on the north wall just above the lock under a large willow tree. There is room for three to four boats on this wall, and maybe five to six boats on the south wall. The town is within easy walking distance from the lock with a grocery store and LCBO store, and on Wednesday evenings there are concerts in the fairgrounds next to the lock. The restrooms are at the lock station, but the showers are shared with the campground on the south side of the canal. Power (2, 30 amp) is available for $10.50 per night. Exceptionally pet friendly. We would definitely stop here again. Very quiet and peaceful.

Draft: 3.0'Lock 6 Frankford. One night 5/30/2024. From L14 Crowe Bay to L6 Frankford the following locks seemed very pleasant for an overnight stay: L9 Meyers, and L8 Percy Reach. L6 Frankford offers both showers and 30amp power. The area has a picnic ambiance and adjacent to the campsite it shares shower facilities. At the top of the lock there is space for 6 to 8 boats using opposing sides. I recommend L6 Frankford for an overnight stay.

Draft: 4.5'Very helpful lock staff, helped with lines tying up to wall, was good in placing boats to maximize space. Used two 30 amp plugs with reverse Y. Toilets on site, showers in an RV park next door(didn't use). A relaxing stay after the six locks from Trenton.

Draft: 3.6'The prior comment from 2018 is still accurate. This is a very quiet stop. The Lock staff gave us a key to the restrooms for use overnight. This is a good place to overnight.
