If you're like us, sometimes you just want to get off the beaten track. We found this wonderful hidden gem with practically new aluminum floating docks. Belle Bluff is a nice laid back marina at a campground where it's easy to relax and enjoy the wonderful views of huge Oaks strewn with moss and the expansive marshlands. We let the dogs off leash to run among the trees without concern. Ronald the owner was friendly and accommodating, he even agreed to guide us up the creek but we didn't need it. The charts need to be updated, we saw nothing less than 6' two hours before low tide. Just stay north at the entrance of the creek and keep to the outside of the river bends. Most of the creek is considerably deep. We used our generator for power. The bathrooms are rustic but we prefer to use our own anyway. We needed a rest and Belle Bluff was was the perfect place.
