NC: Lockwoods Folly Northern Approach shoaling MM 320
- Date Reported: Dec 10, 2024
- Reporter: Bob423
- Source: User
- Description:
Update: 6 MLLW as of 12/10/2024 on the Bob423 track
The northern approach to New River has been dredged but there is a finger of shoaling extending into the channel by Folly River, the Bob4233 track avoids that hazard. The 9/24/2024 USACE survey is shown. Expect the shoaling coming out of the Folly River to further narrow the passage. Follow the Bob423 track carefully. On one side is the submerged barrier, the other side is shoal.
