FL: Longboat Pass, Dredge Operations

General/Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges)/Dredging From: 2024-12-30 To: 2025-02-24 Location: 27.44645° N / 82.68646° W 27.4396° N / 82.69178° W 27.42604° N / 82.68783° W 27.43624° N / 82.70431° W 27.44645° N / 82.68646° W Atlantic and Gulf Dredging and Marine, LLC will be conducting dredging and beach fill in approximate position 27-26-36.40N / 082-41-24.55W. Dredging operations will occur 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Survey operations will occur during daylight hours 7 days a week. The waterside staging area is located on the eastern edge of Longboat Pass channel, east of Longboat Pass Bridge. Rafted pipeline and equipment will be staged in this location during the mobilization and demobilization phases of the work. The Cutter Suction Dredge COMMODORE is scheduled to commence dredging/beach fill operations on November 05, 2024. Dredging operations will remove material from Longboat Pass Channel borrow area located within the ebb shoal. Dredged material will be hydraulically placed via submerged/floating/shoreline along a 2,000 ft segment of the Longboat Key, FL, Gulf of Mexico shoreline at Gulfside Road. Dredging/beach fill operations are scheduled to complete on or around January 30, 2025. Full waterside demobilization is scheduled to complete by February 9, 2025. All pipeline will be lit per USCG regulations. Periodic hydrographic surveys will be conducted within the dredge area and along the beach fill area. Vessels should avoid the active dredge area during construction and proceed at slow speed in the area surrounding the Dredge, pipeline and other support equipment.
