Fincantieri Infrastructure Florida & GLF USA will be conducting pile driving, dredging and water sampling in the vicinity of Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserve and Government Cut at furture MSC berths 8 and 9 (25-46-21.1332N/080-9-25.5348W to 25-46-9.1848N/080-8-57.0084W). The estimated completion date is December 15, 2025, hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., 7 days a week. GLF Construction Corporation will be mobilizing a Crane Barge (54 feet x 150 feet), Service Barge (30 feet X 150 feet), and a Push Boat (15 feet x 25 feet) to the project site on or around June 16, 2022. The equipment is being mobilized to install and maintain the turbidity control system required to perform both land and water-based dredging works. During the installation of the system the above equipment will be operating in the area south of the north navigation channel adjacent to Port Miami. If and when necessary, the equipment will be moved along the southern edge of the north navigation channel to perform any maintenance. Upon arrival at the site the GLF equipment will be positioned inside the Turbidity Control System south of the Navigation Channel and will not move out until completion of the work. GLF will continuously monitor VHF-FM channel 16 and use Channel 9 to maneuver barge and vessels.
