I called to ask about getting a slip for the winter and they told me that they do not allow sailboats in the marina. FYI post. Never been so can't provide comment on the property itself.

Not for transients. Did not answer radio. Called on phone and told them I was entering Manatee Pocket and asked for instruction. He didn't know what Manatee Pocket was! (The name of the lagoon they're in). He said I was in S7. I told him I needed fuel and he said call on radio and someone would be there to help. No answer on radio (any channel). Got to fuel dock. No help. Whistled and honked horn. Ignored. Finally a lady dock manager and a trainee came out. Totally incompetent w lines. After fueling, was put in very tight slip. They were of no help. Expensive and amenities were mediocre. Would NOT recommend.

Just don't go here. Overpriced, no pump out, no help, 3.5% fee if you use your credit card (learned this after spending approx $1,500 on slip fees, fuel, and restaurant/bar), employees who freely talk in colorful language about the poor management. Just a terrible stay. We tried to hail them on the radio and no one answered so we had to call on the phone. The poor dockhand was on his first day and didn't have a clue (5 stars for effort, though). This is just a very poorly run marina.

Don't copy channel 16. We're on 68 only.
Told us to go to slip S2, then got off radio. No handheld. We had NO idea where S2 was. We meandered around for awhile and finally saw a guy on one of the piers. We saw the slip and figured out how to rig. VERY short finger on wide/long fixed slip. He was essentially no help in mooring. Didn't know how to cleat a line or make a Clove Hitch about piling.
Incredible.
This is a big sport fishing boat marina with paid captain's and mates, not aimed at transients.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

The dock hand was very helpful and friendly. We ate at the outside bar and food was delicious. They had a band playing and it was just a festive atmosphere. Very clean marina. The only bad thing I can say about it, is they just have two washers and dryers. It would be ever helpful if there were more, plus we had to dry the clothes three times before they would dry.
