We opted to stop at Gore Bay Marina for four days to avoid a large storm front passing through. We had to dock in high winds, but the dockmaster was at the dock to guide us in and help with the lines. The marina seems relatively new with wide stable floating docks and power/water pedestals at each slip. It is a bit of a long walk from the transit docks to the restroom/showers, laundry, and marina office. There is a ships store with a variety of marine parts and sporting equipment. The town of Gore Bay is within two blocks of the marina with interesting shops, a modest grocery store and an LCBO all within a five-minute walk. The grounds are very pet friendly, but the Wi-Fi was very intermittent (we gave up and used our iPhone Hot Spot). The Watersedge restaurant is a bit of a walk, or a short dinghy ride across the bay, and is open year-round for the late season boaters. Our group had a variety of dishes and all of us thought the food excellent. This is a nice stop for provisioning and a great meal.

This is a nice marina. Wide docks. Short walk to the downtown shopping area where there is a great grocery store. It is quite a walk to the marina office. There is no assistance for docking (not a problem for us). Water on two of the docks and the bathrooms was shut off at 8:00 pm for some maintenance work. There were lots of signs to notify boaters of the short closure.

Excellent Marina in a beautiful setting with great floating docks, easy access fuel dock, great dock hands and outstanding shower/head facility. Walked to town (easy) for groceries and a few hardware items. Hit a few of the shops too. Enjoyed the Split Rail micro brewery before grabbing some really good fish & chips (Pickerel of course) at the adjacent restaurant. We will definitely plan a stop here for multiple days on our next trip.

Nice wide floating docks, power pedestals functional. 50% of laundry units out of service. A bit of a hike to the marina office. Washrooms clean and functional. Pretty well stocked marine store next to office. Slips wide and fairly easy docking. We didn't ask for docking help but didn't need it. Town offers several restaurants, grocery, pharmacies, and post office within easy walk. Street market on Friday mornings! Hike to an overlook on the east side of the bay.

A nice marina in a nice town. Docks were in good repair. Thirty amp electric worked as expected. Staff was responsive and answered radio and telephone calls. A well-positioned breakwall protected the marina in a strong northerly blow. Individual shower suites included a toilet and had plenty of hooks to hang towels and clothes. Town is an easy walk. There are restaurants nearby, but didn't try them. I had plenty of food on the boat.

To pass a weather-in day, I rode my bike 2.2 miles to the historic lighthouse on the west side of the bay in the morning. During the afternoon, I rode to an overlook on the east side of the bay. From there, it's a nice view of the southern end of the bay and town. A short walk from the marina is a boardwalk with bridges that crisscrosses a restored wetlands.

Gore Bay Marina, 15 August 2022. Busy and efficient marina within walking distance of Pavilion and other venues in the town. Marina store is well stocked with items for the boat which is adjacent to the fuel dock. Gore Bay is scenic and with the seawall the marina is protected. Restrooms and showers are in a building separate from the marina.
