Were welcomed by the staff at the dock to help with our lines as we came in. Docks are sturdy floating with good cleats. Shore power is 50 amp outlets. They will supply an adapter to 30 amp if needed. Great water pressure. Semi-private rest rooms and showers are dated but clean. No laundry available. Price is a bit steep for what you get. Free WiFi works great. No security gates and not needed. Short walk to town with shops and restaurants. 9 minute bike ride to grocery and LCBO store.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and were waiting to catch lines at the dock when we motored in. Mike was helpful with tips on the town, which is beautiful with lots of great restaurants and shops, but it is a little touristy. The washroom and bathrooms are old and tired, but usable (hence a 4 vice 5 star rating.). Farmers Market on Friday afternoons, with good selection of veggies and fruits. Craft brewery in town was just OK.

Bayfield Village Marina, alias Bluewater Marina, 22 August 2022. The harbor has two marinas, Bayfield Village Marina, and Harbor Lights. The former is on the south bank of the river while the latter is on the north bank. This harbor is described as the largest sailboat marina on the Canadian Huron coastline. The town of Bayfield is less than a mile up the Heritage wooded trail. At the Bayfield Village Marina, the transient dock is closets to the harbor entrance before the fuel dock identified with a red sign. Dock cleats vary with modern style and T-bone style. The poles securing the floating docks and separating adjacent slips are steel, some with protective covers.
