A big shout out to Michelle, Ivy, and Saber for their fantastic customer service. I made a quick fuel stop passing through, and they are great. The fuel dock is right off the channel, coming into Port Royal/ Beaufort from HHI. The tidal current can rip through there, so just be aware. The facilities are nice, and there is a restaurant on-site for lunch and dinner.

We are 1,400 miles into our trip thus far and have been lucky to have some good marinas . Safe Harbor Port Royal met the same high standards. Good assistance at the fuel dock, and the transient face dock worked out great for us. It was a bit rocky a couple of times as others did not honor the wake free zone but not the marina's fault. All personnel were welcoming and helpful. Really nice location, quiet and the facilities were very good. We took advantage of the Publix delivery for a few provisions which was very handy. Would like to have explored the area more but had sort of a schedule to keep, next trip we will hang out a couple of days at least. The fuel price delta between members and non-members was a bit much - wish they would have a mid price for those with an overnight slip and not just stopping for fuel. Great marina - we will be back.

I just moved to the Beaufort, SC, area and had the opportunity to meet Michelle getting fuel at Port Royal Landing. She is fantastic and has a wealth of knowledge. The fuel dock is very convenient, just off the channel: fair fuel pricing and a convenient location for transients.

The section of the river between the McTeer Bridge next to the marina and the swing Bridge in downtown Beaufort is a NO WAKE zone. So, as you travel through the area, please observe the no-wake zone.

Facedock is an easy overnight stopping place, but marina is not close to town. Dockhands were ready and friendly! Could not do pump-out due to low tide.

A long walk or a short bike ride (4 miles) south of Beaufort Long face dock for transients. Easy in and out, but exposed and there is a strong current when the tide is running. Good restaurant (Maker 244) on premises. Slow WiFi. Long pier over the marsh to get to the restrooms with showers which were clean and functional.

After hailing the marina we watched the Safe Harbour red shirted dock hands heading down the long dock to greet us and assist with docking. A local told us the primary dock is 1/4 mile long. The service and hospitality was top notch. There is a nice store and restaurant onsite. At the end of the gangplank there were steps on the right leading down to a grassy area to let the dogs off leash. We experienced a little rocking on the face dock from passing boats.
We provisioned at the Piggly Wiggly just a .7 mile walk with a local seafood stand and liquor store in route.

Michelle and her staff are some of the best along the ICW. Very friendly and knowledgeable. During their rounds, saw one of the dock hands adjusting a fender on a boat - you don't see that extra care too often.

Michelle was very courteous and friendly and when I told her I was single handing, she offered to have crew come down to help me land on their fuel dock. Ship's store and fuel dock gentlemen were equally welcoming. I was awaiting opening of the nearby Lady's Island swing bridge and they were kind enough to allow me to stay tied up at the fuel dock until I need to go. A little gem.

We fell welcome rapidely, eventhough we arrive without much of a warning with Boat US. The staff is cool & efficient, the place clean and well configured, with an non-expensive boat shop. We stayed there a week (for mecanic parts), and much enjoy it.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. They aim to make your stay as perfect as possible. Facilities are good. There is a courtesy car to get to places that aren't within walking distance. The face dock is bit tired but serviceable and is slated for upgrading soon.
