The dockage was fantastic. These slips are some of the most stable in the area. There is a ferry that goes out a little south of here and occasionally you will get some waves, but not bad at all. Yacht club is really nice, and the members are very accommodating and friendly. I got to meet the Commodore who shared the codes with us, and welcome us to happy hour when we arrived. The Dockmaster Da was super friendly, and welcoming. It's a very short 10 minute walk to the train station and one hour to downtown New York. We've done that almost every day. There is a nice marine supply store next-door that has a lot of supplies. We ate in town at a Peruvian restaurant that was really good.

Nice place to stop and spend a weekend. Nice little town up the hill and the docks are wide enough for catamaran. However, it is a little wavy when the ferry goes by.

Friendly club. Wide slips for transients on on western most concrete dock with great river views. Nice pool, clubhouse and outdoor grills and picnic tables. Easy dock for pump out. Gas at adjacent Westerly Marina. Definitely will return.

We should have done more of our homework before coming here last summer. Everything was a huge nickel and dime game. Was a much higher overnight rate than was publised, and two of the seasonal boaters there shared with us, that that the seasonal rates are the same issue, in which once you're there, there's endless super pricey "extra fees" and assesments, and by the time all the extra fees are paid, you still can't get a car into the parking lot there. We had friends drive from out of town to visit with us, and the neighboring marina had blocked off most of the Shattemuc parking lot. Don't even get me started on the nonsense and extras to get into their small pool.

I called to make a reservation and was told to do that on Dockwa. This was no issue except the rate was $2.50/ft not the published $1.50 /Ft and the electric cost was $30.00 night for 30 amp. We therefore chose to go to another marina. One star doesn’t reflect the facilities, only the cost.

Shattemuc Yacht Club has just opened up their newly commissioned deep water marina. The transient facilities will now accommodate boats up to 65 feet with drafts of up to 7.5 feet at low water. The state of the art, environmentally friendly wave attenuating system provides a calm marina while providing the free passage of fish and other marine life. The best sunsets on the Hudson River. And access to two exceptional restaurants.
