I didn't find anything special about this stop. The people were friendly enough and they accommodated my request to be moved from a fishing dock (where at least a half-dozen fishermen scrambled to get their multiple lines out of the water on my approach) to a floating dock between two other transient boats. But the new spot had no power (which was included in the price). They charge a 3% fee for credit card use. The place was dog friendly, which is important to me. The restaurant was still closed for the season -- this was March 2023. There are no provisions in the store and nothing at all near the marina/campground. Easy in, easy out. I only spent one night and then got on my way.

This was a great stop. The people were wonderful. Super friendly. The marina was very easy to get into. It was a great stop between Charleston and NC for us. Only downfall the food at the bar was not good. Plan to cook your own food. There was a bar on site as well. We will stop again.

This is a unique marina with an adjacent RV campground. It worked out great because I met a friend who brought his restored 1973 GMC motor home and stayed a couple nights during my stop in mid-June 2022.

There is NOTHING nearby so come with your boat provisioned. Transients are put on a very high lay along dock. Small boats like my Ranger Tug may find it difficult getting on/off.

There are a couple boater/RVer only code access bathrooms. Showers are in trailer bathrooms that also serve the on-property bar. They were fair at best. I elected to shower on my boat.

The marina is located right on the ICW and most boats honored the "No Wake" zone.

2021 nothing there but a small store, bar and restaurant are gone. Exposed to wakes. new owners have a lot to do to get it up to par.

Stopped May 2021 and found they're in the middle of a major expansion. They are currently as much an RV park as a marina but was told the expansion will include a full service boat yard with a large Travelift. Meanwhile good service, clean restrooms and showers and a friendly staff.

Easy in and out. GREAT PRICE on fuel and dockage. Nice little pub restaurant, Capn Buck’s Port, on site.
    Nice folks running the business.
