We lucked into the marina after all the Georgetown marinas filled up for a fishing event.
Communications from Trent were great on the approach and system. Bathrooms were clean and the free laundry was a bonus.

After dark, the river settled down so it was very peaceful.
Two relatively minor issues: we only had a single 30 amp available. We made it work but in the height of summer it would have been a problem and Second, there is no assistance after 4 PM. Fellow boaters helped us moor against a significant current but could have been an issue.
Will stop here again.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

We stayed one night at the marina. Trent, the dock master, was super helpful on both ends of our visit. The boaters lounge is comfortable. It's open til 10pm. The bathrooms were very clean. There is a porch swing atop the office with a lovely view.

This is a good stopover. Clean restrooms, nice showers, and a good place to walk your dog. No restaurants close by though. Trent the dockmaster was super nice! Free laundry is hard to beat!! JIM

Our stay at the Heritage Plantation Marina on March 26, 2022 was terrible…worst experience at a marina ever. Prior to arriving, the marina did not answer the phone nor return any voicemail messages. The only responses were cryptic messages on Dockwa. Upon arriving, I hailed the marina several times and finally received a response from someone that said "no one worked there". We pulled up to the dock during operating hours only to be greeted by a homeowner that just happened to be on the dock. The face dock was in disrepair with no rub rails, therefore causing significant damage to our boat's gel coat. The marina appears to be owned by the Heritage Plantation HOA with no management or dock staff. We sent emails to the president of the HOA and the management company, along with photos of the damage to our boat. The response from the management company was nonsensical. Obviously this HOA should not be listed as a commercial marina or advertised on Dockwa.

This is a good stop for transients between Charleston and Myrtle Beach. The dock master helped with the lines. He texted us a pic with the spot circled on the dock we were to use. It made finding our dock easy. The restrooms are clean and there is a nice deck area.

Very nice marina. Very thoughtful, the sign not only showed the name of the marina, but also said transients welcome. Jay was very knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay or a more helpful harbor master. Will tell everyone I see about this place and the service that they will receive. Jay, thanks for everything. I will surely stop back by on my return trip south

My daughter and I were kayaking down the ICW and needed a place to stay for a night before our last day on to Georgetown. Jay the dock master at Heritage Marina was great. I called him and with never meeting me he bent over backwards and found us a place to stay. He didn't have anything at Heritage but found us something at another nearby marina. It was a life saver. If you are coming through and need anything give Jay a call and I'm sure he will do anything he can to help.

Great facility, clean bath rooms/showers and free laundry.
Note that you are on a river system here, and although there is a tide flow, the current is 90% one way and fast. Side along tie ups are great.
Had no issues with power (must be fixed) and was thankful to have it for 2 nights in the 30's.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

After 60 years of cruising in all kinds of boats and waters, I honestly have to say just how remarkable this marina is. It does not have fuel available but what it does have is outstanding.
Firstly, the docks are crawling with truly kind and helpful people, especially the dockmaster Jay. If you need help he is there, way beyond his required duties, just to help you out. All the other boaters you meet here are equally amazing.
I love the alongside docking. No hassle trying to back into a narrow slip and hanging out to lasso poles.
The mostly fast-running freshwater helps wash away those stubborn barnacles.
The facilities are part of a gorgeous residential development of beautiful homes with ponds and flowers - nice for walking your pets.
The restrooms sparkle. Free laundry.
But use caution. Once you spend an evening enjoying the beautiful breeze and sunsets along the Waccamaw you might never leave.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

The marina was nice and Jay is terrific, however, Jay goes home at 5 then you are on your own. At 6:30 the dock power had some insane power surge and over volted our system. My gauge tops out at 150 volts and it was pinned. We had to disconnect and spend the 42 degree night without power and therefore no heat. I could have anchored out for free and froze just the same.

We can’t say enough about how wonderful this marina is and especially their dockmaster, Jay! He takes special care of each boat here and treats everyone like family. He is very dedicated and did an amazing job dealing with the difficulties and hazards posed by Hurricane Florence and the resulting flooding. Thank you Jay!

Stopped for a fishing hook because we lost ours and needed to use the restroom. Jay was extremely kind, treated us like old friends. He gave us a hook from his personal supplies.
