Located in downtown Ilion, the marina is a converted barge loading divot in the canal that, in the old days probably served as a loading platform for product from the Remington Arms Factory (founded in 1810) that, until recently, was the major employer in the town. The wall is in good shape and cleats have been strategically added to the bollards designed to hold barges against the wall. Power and water are available by well-placed power pylons. There is fuel, pump out, and showers and marina Wi-Fi available as well. There is no laundry. The marina is also a vacation travel trailer park and a stop on the Erie Canal Bike Trail so there is more activity than one might expect from such a small marina. There is also a seasonal snack bar on site and several restaurants within easy walking distance from the marina. Aldi's Supermarket is located one block from the marina and Walgreens Pharmacy is about a half mile up the road. The marina is first come, first served and the staff is very helpful. We have stayed there three times and will come back again next we are on the Canal.

Secure location with full utilities. Reasonable pricing. No reservations so first come first served. Close to town with food and drinks. Yes there are occasion trains in the area but they were not annoying. The canal bike/hiking path cuts right through the marina/campground but didn't seem to disrupt operations at all. If anything the hikers and bikers added to the excitement of the park.

Nice place, with a full list of amenities. Gas, diesel, pump-out, bathrooms, showers, laundry and on-site burger & ice cream stand. Nothing fancy, but it was a welcome stop after staying at walls with no services. Five minute walk to Aldi for provisioning. Wakes from boats going too fast were a nuisance, as were train whistles. Good value for $1/foot and super friendly people. We would return.

Stayed here 5/26/23. Nice area, easy walk to auto parts, Aldi, pizzeria, etc. Phone number is correct here for contacting dock master at 315-404-6532, however Kevin LaPorto is dock master.

The marina is close to Aldi and Wallgreen for provisioning, but its also close to the highway and the train and yes it does blow its whistle. So not that quiet, but its not expensive and it does have services (water, 30/50 amp, pump-out, toillets and showers). Notthing fancy about the showers, but they work. Nice bicycle path just beside the marina alongside the canal.

Too tired to explore the area but this was a nice stop. Very quiet with nice shower/heads, laundry, diesel and pump out. Super little fast food/icecream shop on campus. We would stay here again!

Arrived late in a rain storm. Colby was dock hand and did everything you could ask. $1.00 foot and great burgers. I have stayed here a number of times. Water a little skinny, maybe 8-9' at the wall.

Easy access to diesel and pump out, and the staff is very helpful in that regard. The snack shop on site has adequate food. The marina is also a trailer park, so you have people from their RVs/trailers that have the river view spaces watching you while you are there. Dock to and from the parking lot is a little shakey. While we were there, a dredge was actively working and will supposedly be complete by the end of the season. Watch your depth if you are coming in before the dredging is complete. (BTW, we did not receive any of the welcome material mentioned in the previous post. Perhaps they were out).

What a delightful stop. Staff are organized and efficient. You receive a welcome booklet from the mayor and the townspeople greet you and take your picture. Docking is simple and the docks are at a good height. The shake shop on grounds has good shakes and basic food. The locals eat here. One of the best Aldis is around the corner. The park here has several picnic tables and pavilions. It’s very pleasant here in so many ways.
