We stayed here two days and it was great. Brandon was extremely friendly and helpful, the bathrooms/showers were immaculate, there is a full kitchen in the skippers lounge, the laundry room appeared to be brand new.Yanni's restaurant is on site and has a great selection of meals and daily specials. Like most marinas on the Hudson it is subject to wakes. We did have to use a splitter to get 50amp service. Would definitely stay there again and really appreciated the friendly atmosphere.

This must be one of the friendliest marinas on the Hudson River - highly recommended. Brandon (dockmaster) is exceptionally accommodating and strives hard to please. The marina is very clean and has excellent restroom/shower, laundry and kitchen facilities. There are marina repair facilities on the premises and the marina has a 35-ton lift. The marina is a bit small, so call ahead early to reserve a transient slip. Next door to the marina is Yanni's Too, a nautically themed seafood restaurant with a pub-grub menu. They have wonderful daily specials and are known for their calamari. A word of caution, there is a retaining wall between the river channel and the marina that is hidden at high tide that cannot be crossed. You need to enter the marina through a channel well south of the marina (marker G189) and follow the private red buoys. The marina monitors channel 16 and will guide you in.

I'll simply concur with the positive reviews already made, but I will caution that there is a 7 foot tidal range here and you really need to hug the docks while coming in from the south at anything close to low tide. The good news is that it's all mud.

Marina facilities have been redone and is one of the best if not the best on the Hudson we've seen. Laundry has new machines and is included with slip fee. Has individual shower rooms with a toilet and each each as handicap bar. The one thing we've not seen is a kitchen that is fully equipped with everything, including spices, except the food. Has two tables seating 6. Marina staff are extremely helpful and yes Yanni's is on site.

We had a great stop at this marina. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The marina is very clean and new looking. Park close by to walk the dog. Fuel prices were great. There is a restaurant on site, but it was closed on Mondays.

What a great place. Very clean and superb facilities. Kitchen to use if needed, Laundry, and bathrooms. One of cleanest boat yards I have seen. Plenty of places to walk the pups. Fuel prices were pretty reasonable we didn't need any but definitely call and ask. Make sure to see Hudson the Swan.

The cleanest bathrooms of any marina we have stayed at thus far. Yannis Restaurant was delicious. Pete, the manager, was super helpful. Friendly atmosphere. Clean docks, offices, kitchen, laundry, shop…highly recommend. The only negative is it is skinny getting to the docks. We have a 3' draft so it was manageable at low tide. Pete will talk you through though.

Stopped here for fuel (great price), Friendly staff to help. Note the shallow/narrow approach is marked with red fender/buoys on the right (coming upstream), stay between the buoys and the bank/boats. This channel is only about 100' wide but well marked.

I called ahead to get a transient dock for a 32 foot boat. They were more than helpful and told me to call back when I was a few miles out. When we got close they sent a small boat out to meet us and guide us in. They then helped get the boat secured at the dock. This is a great place and I look forward to coming back here.

Called 3-4 days in advance to reserve a slip for our boat for about 6-8 weeks while we took a brief break from the Great Loop. Availability was confirmed, but when we called to see if we could come in a day early they refused to honor our reservation. Their reasons were it was a wooden boat and the only way they would even consider taking it is if we gave them a $5,000 security deposit. Their concern, they said, was that our intent was to abandon our boat at this marina. We have a vintage, beautifully restored 1967 Lyman that has already made it 4,000 miles around the Loop and we are looking forward to completing the Loop this fall. We were left scrambling around at the last minute to make reservations over a holiday weekend. Fortunately we found a wonderful marina with professional, experienced staff and we feel confident leaving our boat at Shady Harbor.
