Marina Review for Edenton Harbor

This is a free town dock right in the heart of Edenton. We enjoyed our two nights there. They even have good power and water for free. The dock has short finger piers, so getting our German shepherd on and off was a bit of a challenge the first night, but we moved just inside the T-head the 2nd night, which gave us the whole T for getting the dog on and off. Some of the boards are not in good shape and one finger pier is dangerous, missing several boards. Loner finger piers in better shape would have made the rating a 5 star. Restrooms were right there and clean, with a security code for the door. Wonderful town for walking and the location can't be beat. They even have a courtesy car that you can take to the Food Lion one and a half miles away. Very handy, if not in great shape. Take the trolley tour, visit the lighthouse, stop in the Penelope Barker House. Restaurants within a few blocks, dog friendly area, great walking. Don't miss it!

We just spent 3 nights here while doing the Albemarle Loop. What a great marina! JE was at the dock to help us tie up, after another boater waved us towards our slip. The docks are well kept, power and water worked well. The docks are VERY long and it's a long way to the restroom/showers. They provided us with a golf cart to use for the entire 3 nights we were there for only $25 for the whole stay. Even got us a bigger golf cart so we could drive around the neighborhood with our German shepherd. There was a restaurant at the marina where we ate a couple of times. Wonderful neighborhood for walking. All the residents were very friendly and welcoming. Restrooms were a good size and clean. Highly recommend a stop here, even if you're not doing the Albemarle Loop. It's a great destination just by itself.

Great small marina. The dockmaster is very pleasant and helpful. Easy in and out, docks are all facedocks. Wonderful restrooms & showers - best I've seen in the eastern US and Caribbean. They did a great job of decorating and supplies are great, including towels! There's a putting green, various lawn games, and a great setup for having a drink and chatting with dockmates. Very well thought out. We've eaten at both Spoon River and The Tavern at Jack's Neck - both just a block away. Great little town for walking, many attractive houses. Don't miss it!
