There are actually 2 town docks. Both are very nice floating docks---the one to the south is by the harbormaster office and has room for about 4 boats, but almost always empty.
Sign says 20 minute tie up but if there's no one waiting to get in, you can probably stay longer, but definitely not overnight. There is a hose with free water. The other one, more to the north, is also a floating dock but a bit smaller------room for about 2 boats. There is also a water hose but it is coin operated

This is one of our favorite marinas, a great marina to stay at just before or just after crossing Lake Okachobee. The dock master is friendly and very helpful. They offer a discount on fuel to Boat US members. The Tiki Bar is right on the dock and the food is good.

Hello: Tony Smith here (cruising editor at Waterway Guide Publications)
This marina is first class and the prices reflect it. (we paid $25 for 30 amp hook up for 1 night) I won't quote any other prices because they change constantly..
The onsite restaurants are great. This marina is very close to the town center. We stayed here in preparation for crossing Lake Okachobee to the west. This is the last good marina before crossing the lake. Fuel prices were reasonable.

2 restaurants on site. We ate at Cobbs Landing....no complaints.

This is a very nice marina and all by itself at the mouth of the North Edisto River. We were glad to find it. Good restaurant, friendly staff, floating docks. Watch out for the tides. The locals call them "King Tides" and they're wicked, as much as 5 knots! Be sure to dock heading into it

Nice marina, Fair prices, but, long walk to parking lot. Good facility, except sometimes a nearby smoke stack will spew small black particles on your boat. We stayed there for 3 months a while back, so this issue may have been corrected.

This is a fairly small marina.......I'm sure they experience a labor shortage like everyone........ but the people on staff were friendly enough. You should plan to cook on board. It's a rural setting for sure. Restrooms were clean. Small fuel dock, it appeared that only one vessel at a time for fuel fill up. After waiting a half hour we left and got fuel down the way. We would return for sure

The Church St Town Docks are a great find. We usually stay at Dudley's but they were remodeling so there was no room for us.. Then we spotted the Town Docks located on a city park, and very close to the charming village of Swansboro. These docks are relatively new & in very good condition. There are only about 10 slips but I've never seen it full. You call the number on the sign and Tammy in the town hall takes your CC number. No amenities & no staff on the dock. There is electric on the dock but that's all. There is a restaurant on site which was superb with a full view of the harbor

One of the best marinas on the ICW. You will see it just after passing under the highway bridge (if you're headed south).
The restaurant on site is fabulous The owners, Carol & Steve ended up sitting at the table next to us in the restaurant and we had some good conversation. The courtesy car is a real plus and everyone was super friendly. Plan to stop here......you won't be disappointed

Cindy Wallach says it all.........Let me add.......these are new floating slips, about 12 plus the FD. Part of a town park. Call the number on the sign and the person at the town hall will take your CC # and you simply take an available slip. Price is good. And the best thing is right on the property one of the best seafood restaurants you will find on the ICW in NC. This little spot is a good find.

A great place to anchor, especially if you are headed south after going all the way down the Alligator River. This spot is at a bend in the waterway and is very well protected if the wind is out of the south or the north. The scenery is pleasant and I have anchored here many times. Sometimes the tug boats pushing barges will come through here at all hours so be sure you are well out of the channel. Every time I have anchored here I have seen 4 or 5 others anchored as well.....but there is plenty of room. Holding is good .....mud bottom

Don't miss this marina!!! One of the best, friendliest, most helpful marinas on the whole ICW. And I know because I've been traveling the ICW for 30 yrs. It is family owned & operated & everyone is very helpful. They have free W&D to use, nice lounge with a big TV. The owner even loaned us his Mercedes to go to the grocery store. They are in the process of building a new restaurant on the property. Nice well equipped but small general store for last minute food items.

Nantucket is a charming place but almost everything is expensive, except moorings, which rent for around $50/night. There is launch service as well. Nantucket Boat Basin is beautiful, but expect to pay $5/ft. or more. Once ashore, there are grocery stores, shops, and restaurants just a short walk away. Be sure to make reservations if you want a slip. Mooring are generally available.

Edgartown is one of my favorite harbors. The moorings rented for $40/night in 2018. Reservations strongly advised. Use Dockwa to reserve. Rafting is permitted if the person on that mooring is agreeable. 3 boats max. There is launch service which runs late and even later on weekends. They will drop you off in town, at the showers, or at the dock on Chappaquidik. There are showers at Edgartown Marine. In 2018 the shower facilities were in serious need of an upgrade. There is a large grocery store about 2 miles up Main St. A bit of a walk for sure but Uber & Lyft are there if needed. There is a nice beach by the ferry dock on Chappy. There are other very nice public beaches by the entrance to the harbor as well. The restaurants in Edgartown tend to be pricey but there are some reasonably priced ones as well. You just need to explore a bit.

Oak Bluffs Harbor is unique. It is small but there are plenty of guest moorings. They rent for $45/night. Rafting is mandatory; up to 3 boats per mooring. Everyone on the mooring pays the fee. There is launch service that runs late and even later on the weekends. You can go ashore for dinner and still get back to your boat. The fee is $7 round trip. Bicycle and scoter rentals are nearby. There are restaurants and shops alongside the dock as well. OAK BLUFFS is a blue collar town and not as upscale as Edgartown. The ferr terminal is a short walk for the dock, which is convenient if you have friends coming over for a sail. There are also a few public beaches within walking distance. As for showers, there is a large hotel across the street from the dock called Summer Camp. They have very nice, clean baths with showers on the main floor. They provide towels, soap and shampoo for $10. There is a good grocery store about 2 or 3 blocks up Circuit Avenue and a liquor store is nearby. All in all Oak Bluffs is a fun place.

Megansett Harbor is small. There always seems to be 1 or 2 available moorings with no markings. A great place for a lunch stop. Be careful of the depth especially at low tide. Only 5 ft in some spots. There is a very nice beach and there are some amenities on the beach like bathrooms & some fast food. The harbor is basically wide open to the strong Buzzards Bay South westerlies.

Wild Harbor is a lot like its name. When the prevailing winds are blowing up from the south this harbor can be rough. It is totally unprotected from the south. There is a good sandy beach for boaters to use. There is also an abundance of moorings which you can use for the day. If you stay overnight on one it is possible the owner may come by and ask you to leave. There are no facilities in this harbor and except for the beach, the shoreline is all private property.
