This anchorage is a good alternative to Highborne Cay if you want to be a bit more secluded. We found decent protection from easterly component winds up to 15 knots. Depths were at least as charted throughout the area and were primarily sand with light sea grass.

The bay after the small rocky Cay in front of the the anchorage and Long Cay has crystal clear water and several sand beaches. There can be significant currents. Look for nesting Osprey on the small Cays.

Snorkeling in the area is nice but beware of currents. The area between Lobster Cay and Spirit Cay has coral that breaks the surface, but currents can be strong enough to pull you through the cut!

The closest shopping and fuel is at Highborne Marina. It's pricey, but if you need something, worth the stop.

Aliv and BTC service is excellent at the anchorage and video calls were able to be made from our ALiV MIFI.

We enjoyed this anchorage and will certainly keep it on our list for return visits.

Good holding in sand. Very limited protection; fair weather only. Expect some surge.
