Great anchorage, some exposure to North or NW winds. We did have a 180 shift in winds while there but the anchor was good. Sandy bottom.
excellent sandy Beach for the dog, multiple beaching options and enough room for some long walks. Just fantastic anchorage for an easy in and out.

Watch for the fish weirs on approach. scattered but easily avoidable crab pots in the area

    Verizon signal was very good.

Beautiful spot for a calm night. Nice little beach to stretch your legs on. But if you have some wind, expect a choppy night. If it gets too much, you can move upstream a klick for more protection. Several rows of crab pots to navigate.

Had some local company that cleared out at dusk.

Chart has fish trps well marked, there is plenty of room in the channel to pass by them with no issues. Anchorage was excellent, sand bottom, great holding, no mess on retrieval! Large beach available for pets. Some cruisers even had a bonfire on the beach. Room in anchorage for at least a dozen boats or more. Very little traffic from Antipoison create so no wakes to contend with. In October, there were maybe a half dozen traps in the anchorage area. With so much room it was easy to find space to anchor. Cell coverage was LTE only on AT&T.

Riddled with crab pots! Could not get near shore at all. Even with South east/South west wind we still had a lot of fetch due to how far out we had to anchor. But it was still a good over night. Able to take our dog to the nice beach. Cell service was very patchy for Verizon and AT&T

Came in to stop for the night with SE winds 20+ on the bay. Good holding and only mild rocking during the night. No other boats so had plenty of area to anchor around fish traps and crab pots. Woke up to a beautiful view in all directions and got an unexpected special treat of dolphin while having our coffee.

Jumping in to report a memorial day weekend crowd of about 12 boats at anchor with just as many beach day-visitors. Very beautiful but a tad busy. Other reviews regarding access, depth, and "amenities" were spot-on.

Excellent. Echo previous comments on leaving the fish traps to port on entrance, plenty of water. Waited out thunderstorms with wind with no problems. Max the dog loved the beach!

Amazing sunsets can be seen here. Excellent holding on the sandy/muddy bottom. Wind was blowing my boat as well as two sailboats all night but anchor held well. Not much protection from the wind otherwise. Lots of sandy beaches here. As the other reviews state...stay far right upon entry to avoid the fish traps.

We really enjoyed this little bay. Beware of the multiple fish traps coming in from the bay. They are easily visible sticking well above the waterline. The Anchorage is large. Quiet of weeknights but very popular on weekends. We were there Friday am through Sunday am in July 2020. Saturday was busy. There’s a nice beach there at the Anchorage, but if you take your kayak or dinghy, cut through the marshes and you’ll be rewarded with a private beach on the Bay with few people. The kayaking is excellent with many places to visit. There are not any stores/restaurants but a tiki bar exists not too far away for drinks and light food. We did not go so can’t provide details. Thunderstorms first evening with significant winds and held well.

Stay well to right of the fish traps upon approach in Fleets Bay on way to Little Bay. Good holding, very quiet, peaceful. Sent the day exploring the beach area, enjoying the sunset. Spend the night then wake up to a beautiful sunrise.

In season this is a perfect anchorage for sail or power. Yes, on weekends lots of traffic and that is "splendid hub bub of sandy beach and watercraft activity with excellent short dingy ride to shore where there are sandy beaches like few places in the Chesapeake. Yes, all sorts of vessels & PWC!
Lovely Antipoison Creek, Tabb's Creek, and Dymer Creek nearby. Linger a while in the waters off of historic Fleet's Bay...

Beautiful anchorage with plenty of depth. It stays deep fairly close to the beach. Well protected from west and south winds.
