Warsaw Cut
Warsaw cut is an excellent anchorage off of the main channel. Best access to the Cut is from the north end, but the south end is ok if you watch your depth finder and stick to the center of the channel. You can find up to 30' of water near the north shore of the cut behind the island, but get there before dark. That 30' can turn to 20' and then 2' in the blink of an eye. I found myself well protected from wind and had hardly any current.
The locals are wealthy people who like their privacy. There is no shore access.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Anchor where the anchor mark is, if you go too deep there are a few houses, best to avoid. Quiet, no wake, anchor came up clean, just off the river, lots of swing room.

Plenty deep 21' plenty of room to swing 360°. Verified because as newby's we dropped our anchor in the wrong direction and Miss Arlene immediately swung completely around into the wind! Thunder and lightening, winds whipping but no movement of our anchor. Completely away from barge traffic. No boats passed us at all. Would definitely use this anchorage again. Large enough for multiple boats. Some homes on the northern shoreline of the cut! Lots of ginormous mayflies!

There is more than 20 feet of water through the entire bend. Enter RDB mid chute at the green buoy at mile marker 275.4 with 22 feet at the bar and sufficient current to keep the boat aligned in most winds, even when anchoring in 20 feet of water. The ideal spot is where the anchor icon is located, with 20 to 22 feet of water and plenty of room for swing with adverse winds. Good holding in mud with good protection for wind, wake and waves with the exception of winds from the northeast were there might be less comfort. A quiet anchorage with the possibilitwy of pet access o the sandy bank of the back of the island. Cellular reception is good with 4 bars for ATT and Verizon and 1 bar for T-Mobile 5G.
