Depths are as charted. Anchored at high tide in 9' and saw 6' MLW. Admittedly is was a weekend, but the small boats race through the canal and up/down the river at top speed which makes the anchorage a bit folly. Coupled with the numerous cigarette boats is was pretty noisy until well after sunset.

The entry started at 12 feet mlw but decreased to 6 feet MLW getting back to the anchorage. At the anchorage icon we found about 5.5 feet MLW with good holding in mud. The spot is exposed from the north/northwest but has good wave and wind protection from all directions with a southerly component. This is definitely a fair weather anchorage. We were comfortable but were glad to move on in the morning. Vessels drawing less than five feet will be able to move closer to shore for protection from southerly weather but discretion left us at the icon.
There is the possibility of shore access but we could not find any in the cove as all the land was clearly private. The closest shore access might be at one of the marinas about 1.5 miles across the river to the north. Cell service was good for all carriers.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

But the holding was good and the depths were accurate.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
