We just needed a place to sleep for the night. We have dogs so we had to walk them. There are places but could be better. There are two deserted sailboats closer to shore. The worst part about this stop was the massive flood lights that light up the sky. I can't forget the big party that was being held under and near the bridge. Running their engines and spinning tires.
As for the view it's pretty and the sunrise was beautiful

Stopped here in Early April and Late May 2022.
Good Holding in 8-12 feet between bridge and Dock to the south. There are 2 derelict boats in the anchorage but both are in shore somewhat so they did not hinder anchorage. It should hold another 2 - 3 boats. There is shore access in a couple of places that I could see. Does not seem to be too much tide or current here. Protection good, especially from North to West and South. Good place to stop for a night.

Anchored here in 7 ft mlw with 75 ft chain on Bruce anchor. Mild current but holding good in mud and sand. 53 Hatteras and held fine. Ramp close for dogs, phone 3 bars. Looks tight but we had 3 boats here. Bridge however is not no wake zone.

Easy to spot, directly off AICW Southwest side Wabasso Bridge. Anchor midway between Environmental Center dock & bridge pilons & out of channel, do not get too close to bridge pilons (much shallower). Wakes very noticeable until night time, it is immediately off narrow part of AICW. November 2020 there were crab pots closer to shore, May 2021 no crab pots. Bright lights on at night near boat ramp/fishing bulkhead. At most room for 2 maybe 3 boats depending on size, we keep fingers crossed when coming up to it. There is a small boat launch & concrete bulkhead on North side that may be good for getting dog ashore, which we did not do. Have seen kayaks in area which leads to believe can get dog ashore.

A good spot to anchor if you are tight on air draft as we were. Wabasso is one of the lowest fixed bridges on the ICW. Our air draft is 63’5” and our masthead VHF antenna made contact at low water.

Quiet spot though, and the nature center adjacent worth a stop.
