There were 3 other vessels in the 40-50' range already anchored here. The was also a submerged vessel upside down (hull partially above water at near low tide). It was 2 pm near full low tide and near full moon. Depths 4-6 ' in northern end of this anchorage . It was very exposed to a strong wind out of NNW. I was unable to anchor, I'm solo, so unable to hold station while deploying anchor. So it might have been possible for a different vessel to anchor here. I'm not sure there was room for more boats beyond that due to depth concerns. It is beautiful, no wake zone. A short dinghy ride to mainland side park to get out, walk a pet.

You can go up the canal to the SE across the ICW and the small cove, tie up just after the road bridge, scramble up the bank, and walk to Publix, UPS Store, Post Office, gas station. The island side of the park is closed to visitors due to damage from Ian.

Turn at Green 3 and get about 75 yards off the west shore. Too far south and the water gets skinny fast. On the east shore is a public dock for the state park land base. Down the dirt road to the entrance and there is an Ace Hardware with plenty of fishing and boating gear. 9/10 of a mile south is Publix Grocery. From the anchorage by dinghy follow the west shore under the bridge to find Rambler Hole with boat docks and entrance to Don Pedro Island park. Miles of white sandy beaches.

Anchor further south in summer, just south of the old RR bridge
