Decent wind protection except for wind from the west. There was a beach you could dingy to on Indian Key, but don't know if that is allowed, as this area is part of the Everglades National Park. We enjoyed a magnificent sunset that lasted much longer than usual, a show of stars in the evening sky with a new moon, Venus and Saturn, and loved the scenic beauty surrounding us! Great spot to spend a lovely evening! Loved it and would definitely come back.
