Unfortunately with depths of 18-20 feet throughout, there's really only room for 1 boat in bad conditions, which is the only time I'd recommend this basin. Just south of Atlantic Ave bridge you'll find Lettuce Lake and Lake Santa Barbara with plenty of room for many boats. If you do anchor here, shore access can be found to the North at Alsdorf Park, where you can tie along the seawall for several hours as noted on the signs.
