We anchored in 25ft and the current kept us straight all night. The next bend was 15ft. Good dinghy exploring further up. There is shore access for hiking a bit up the way on Sandy Island Preserve. Small sand boat landing. Fast moving fishing boats all day, so make sure you Don't drop the hook in a blind spot. Quieted down at night.

Anchored in middle of channel in about 25 ft of water. Anchor held right away with 100 ft of chain. Very peaceful with only a few small fisherman passing until sunset. Tall trees on both sides blocked wind so tide became the major influence. never got near edges of creek. Bumblebees greeted us and wildlife sounds all night. Slept great.
Anchor pulled up clean. some mud. Had 1 bar of T Mobile intermittentlyView location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Good holding and creek is wide here so lots of swing room if needed. Not much boat traffic here so had peaceful night. Current kept us in the middle all night so no worries. Very relaxing anchorage. If it had shore access it would be a five Star.

Only planned on staying a night or two but ended up staying almost a week. If you take your dinghy up thw river a little way there's a spot to tie up and walk the trails on Sandy Island. Lots if little creeks to explore also. Nice deep water and anchor set well the first time. Only one other boat anchored near us the entire time we were there. Not very much traffic during the day and quiet all night.

You might think you are the only people in the world as you listen to the birds chirping and owls hooting. That is until daybreak when you might be surprised by half a dozen fishermen zipping by in their tricked out bass boats. I'd definitely stay here again.
