What a great place to visit. If you are cruising along the coast and plan on staying overnight, this is a place you should definitely stay. Docks are in excellent shape. There are plenty of restaurants on the marina grounds, to include a BoneFish Grill. The townhome rentals are top notch. We will definitely be back.

Great Marina and great staff. Marina is heavy with rental boats and transient traffic. Docks are in great shape. Staff courteous and helpful. Marina has a well stocked store for some food, boat supplies, and fishing gear. The women on the boat will love the shopping here!

This is a great place to tuck away for a day or two, or just visit for a night. The approach is a bit tough as it is shallow. It is marked very well and the amenities are good. Power and water on each floating dock. Very clean facility and on a great island.

Bridge comment on Albee Road Bridge

Bridge operator would not open bridge for me. I was solo on my boat heading south and the tide was running out. I had my canvas up and the operator made me lower my antenna. It took me a while before I got it coordinated, but definitely was not pleasant to do. Radar miss bridge by roughly 8 inches.

From the CFR's:
ยง 117.11 Unnecessary opening of the draw.
No vessel owner or operator shall -
(a) Signal a drawbridge to open if the vertical clearance is sufficient to allow the vessel, after all lowerable nonstructural vessel appurtenances that are not essential to navigation have been lowered, to safely pass under the drawbridge in the closed position; or
(b) Signal a drawbridge to open for any purpose other than to pass through the drawbridge opening.
