Bridge comment on Pungo Ferry (SR 726) Bridge

Observed 63.9' after a 36 hour south wind, traveling northbound after observing tide board of 65.0' at Coinjock. Backtracked 18nm south to Coinjock and waited 36 hours. Hailing northbound traffic to phone back tide boards helped quite a bit. Anchoring out of the channel at Pungo Ferry Bridge in heavy weather offered poor holding and little room to swing on anchor (in current and S wind), so plan ahead if your mast is near 64 feet and utilize northbound traffic if your clearance is marginal.
