Lovely location and great staff from bartender/waitresses to office staff, dock master, and resort manager. We like to bike for off-boat exercise and this are had better roads than most islands. A nice 4 mile loop with many off road bike trails ( former golf course apparently). Rented a car at marina to drive to Rock Sound and Gov Harbor for major provisioning. Recommend Island Farms for fresh produce. Easy entrance and room to turn. I do wish the finger piers were longer as can only enter/exit boat stern or bow.

Plan your shore time with the tide table in mind and be prepared to get wet below the knees.

Ideal stop between Charleston and Georgetown. Friendly, accommodating, small. Facilities simple but clean. The only well protected ( will get small E wind driven waves) stop on the Winyah Bay - Chas ICW segment. I had no issues with 50A power.
