Southern hospitality. Well protected. Clean restrooms. Well-stocked store. Helpful dockhands coming and going! Everyone was friendly. Loved the gift bag with sweets and Osprey Marina swag. Clearly marked approach just off the ICW. As noted by all the other reviewers, the price for fuel and dockage is well below average.

Easy access. Well marked approach. Very well protected from all directions. Discounted rates. Very clean restrooms. Book Swap. Floating Docks. Good Internet. Beautiful surroundings with an encompassing boardwalk. Restaurants within walking distance. Here's the best part, when I docked a floating tiki bar motored over to offer me a drink. You can't beat a marina where the bar comes to you!!!

Marina Review for Town Creek Marina

Very friendly staff helped us dock. Rate was average for the area with BoatUS discount. The marina is undergoing renovations there are significant issues with some of the docks, fuel, etc.The dock boards and cleats pulled off from the dock when I tied one of my dock lines to it. The owner's know the conditions of their docks, the dock hands stood next to my boat when the cleat and board pulled up from the dock as I tied my line. They gave an embarrassed laugh then suggested I tie up to the piling. The bathroom was average, maybe even below average. There was no toilet paper for an entire day even after the staff was notified. There was no soap for two days even after the staff was notified. There are no paper towels, only a hand dryer - shaving, bushing teeth, etc. require bringing your own towel. There is NO electricity in the bathrooms; no electric shaver, no hair dryer. The showers are very small. There are 3 showers, but only space for 1 person to dress/undress/dry themselves. The worst part of the experience for us was when we bought diesel; we carry Midwest 5 gallon diesel cans. We have carried these same cans for years and NEVER have been able to put 5 gallons into them generally getting about 4.8 gallons up to within an inch of the pour spout. Yet, somehow at this marina our cans took 10.5 gallons! When I mentioned this to the attendant she was very quick to say that the pumps were "state inspected" almost before I'd finished my statement. Made me think that she'd heard this complaint before. In fact, the pumps do not display any state inspection sticker. Draw your own conclusion, but mine is that the pumps are not properly measuring dispensed fuel to the benefit of the marina - 5% benefit!
All-in-all we will not be stopping here again, there are other options in Beaufort and Morehead City any of which will be closer to town than this marina.-

Marina Response:
Thank you for your recent review. We strive to create the best possible experience for all of our visitors, so your feedback is important to us.
Town Creek’s fuel pumps are state inspected as required by law and as required to sell fuel. If we were not inspected for proper calibration and quality, we would not be allowed to sell fuel. The meters display an inspection sticker with the date of the most recent inspection.
The electrical outlets were not working in the restrooms at the time of your stay due to a bad GFI. It has been corrected. If we had been made aware that this was an issue at the time, we could have run an extension cord into the restroom for you. The marina will always do our best to accommodate our guests’ needs. We check the restrooms at least twice daily for cleanliness and paper and we try our best to respond promptly when any issues are brought to our attention. In addition, the restrooms are professionally cleaned and restocked twice a week.
As you noted, we are in the process of replacing all of the docks in the marina as part of a complete renovation. After suffering through Hurricane Florence and Tropical Storm Michael this fall as well as several recent nor’easters, some of the original docks have been affected with repairs being made as needed until they can be replaced as well.
We sincerely apologize for the issues brought to our attention and will use this valuable feedback to improve our facility and all of our customers’ experience going forward.
