Donovan's is everything great we've heard, and then some! We knew we'd like the pool, floating docks, restaurant on site, and super friendly boater-savvy owners (they are boaters!). Used courtesy car for easy grocery provisioning. Then had a bilge pump run continously on day we were to leave. Donovan's had a mechanic on site right down to diagnose the problem, and fixed within a few hrs with a new part they had in stock. Amazing customer service, especially this year when its so hard elsewhere to find a place that will even look at your boat within a week for repairs.

Great (and easy!) overnight stop along the C&D Canal! After being delayed at a previous marina waiting for a part, we were traveling down the C&D Canal on the way to Cape May and decided to stop last minute at Schaefer's Canal House for the night since the late afternoon weather looked a little threatening. What an unexpected pleasure! The super long side-tie fuel dock paralleling the canal, and the EXCELLENT dockmaster Steve and dockhand Lauren, made tying up for fuel (and then a slip) super easy...in what I thought might be challenging current. Come in against the current & do whatever these dockhands tell you - they know their stuff! The restaurant too was fabulous! Superb view & great food...and when a big ship came past, it went slow and sounded its horn, to the cheers of all the diners. We will be back!

Lovely respite on the Hudson! Dockmaster Steve is exceptionally available and responsive. Quiet waters, tucked in a lovely Bay well off the main channel made for easy docking along the Hudson. Wide floating docks, beautiful vistas and sunsets, multiple excellent restaurants within walking distance, easy access via Metro North traib to both Manhattan and points north. Took train to Culinary Institute for a fabulous dinner, while others in our group enjoyed a day trip to the gorgeous dam nearby.
