Hauled for small fiberglass repair below the waterline. Strap placement is marked on deck, but marks were ignored, and rear strap was placed on the rudder. Refused to admit that this was wrong, or that it was even done, in spite of the strap marks showing placement clearly.
Originally said they could get to it in a day, but didn't start the job for 4 days. Refused to use fiberglass for the job, instead using filler. When queried about whether it would last, became VERY belligerent about it. "I don't know! I don't know if the sun is going to rise tomorrow, how would I know if it will last!" Called the job a "Dodo job", complained about sail boaters, and that he didn't want them here anyway. When work finally started, it was done in 4 hours, including barrier coat and antifouling. Really? Filler, barrier coat, and antifouling all will cure in 4 hours??? Told we would splash at 3 PM on Friday, but this was changed on 20-minute notice because it would have interfered with their employee Christmas party.
All this from the owner, whose yard personnel were so "busy" that they were painting a hi-lo yellow for 2 days. Completely unprofessional, combative, and inconsiderate.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
