Bridge comment on Boca Grande Swing Bridge

Reporting this bridge operation to the Coast Guard. Be very careful. We have a 25 ft air draft with our antennas down. We checked the boards on the bridge and it said there was 21 ft clearance.
The bridge only opens on the hour and half hour. We radioed the bridge operator as required and he was confrontational about opening the bridge for us. We have pictures of the bridge and the marker on the bridge. He informed us that he was reporting us to the Coast Guard for an unnecessary bridge opening and that we have 5 foot of clearance. There is no way that we had any clearance, even if the bridge markers are wrong. Don't let this guy cause you to wreck your boat. If you experience anything like this contact the USCG Office of Bridge Programs. https://www.dco.uscg.mil/Office-of-Bridge-Programs/ and report this type of dangerous behavior. This is the only bridge operator that we have had problems with down the entire GIWW.

This was a great place to grab a dock and get some fuel. We couldn't get into the dock. Ran into soft mud about 10 yards from the slip. Had to dock on the commercial dock behind the push boat. No water and no Electricity. Was still charged the same $25 docking fee as the powered dock. Fuel was very reasonable here in the past, but I get better diesel prices in Galveston than here now. The rating is a 2 star only because of the staff. The were friendly and helpful. Actually dock staff rate 5 stars, but overall disappointed from this last visit.

Great service, Great Marina. Very helpful staff. Docks are in pristine condition. Pools are great and kept very clean. Large 12 person hot tub. Restaurant is currently still closed. Marina makes breakfast and lunch Thursday - Sunday currently. Reasonably priced docking, with diesel and gasoline available.,
