Tried to get into Pelican Pointe marina but got stuck in mud, was a pain but got unstuck. It was late so came over to Rigolets marina and docked at an empty slip overnight. Went to the office to pay the next day. Mrs Shanna was very helpful. We had a generator fuel filter that had gone bad and she let me borrow her car to run to the store. The store on site has lots of spare parts. Marina is nice and again Mrs Shanna was very helpful.

Very nice marina just stayed here 3 day over Memorial Day holiday weekend. Staff very friendly and helpful, will give you a golf cart ride to the front. As some other reviews mentioned you do get some rocking if there is strong wind from the S or E. Couldn't sleep first night it was so bad but less winds other nights and it was calm.

This was our first stay at Orleans Marina. I contacted the harbormaster by phone the day before and he emailed me the transient form. I filled it out on my phone and emailed it back. Very well protected from wind and current. Easy to dock as the slips for >40' boats are 75' slips so huge. Lots of traffic with other boats coming and going so felt very safe. The dock is locked and you need a code to enter. The area has many very very good restaurants within short walking distance. There is a Walgreens and Roberts grocery store very close as well. As mentioned in the other review on the weekends you can hear the music from the nearby restaurants during the day and night. It's not "in your face" loud but it's not dead quiet. To get an idea our baby slept inside the cabin with the AC on while we sat on the patio and listened to the music, it was nice.

Tried to get gas here at the 24hr pump on a Sunday. Pumps were blocked by boats tied up to listen to music next door. After double parking on the other side of said boats I found the pumps did not work. They would say network unavailable and not accept my credit card. Anyway the main thing to note for fellow boaters is that the pumps might very well be blocked by unattended boats on the weekends due to the proximity to bands and entertainment.

Stayed here overnight Nov 19, 2020. Easy to dock no draft issues anywhere for us. Power and water on the slip side. Some people at the marina helped us dock as the owners were gone for the day. Paid and got fuel the next day. As another reviewing mentioned the nearby store closes in the fall - spring so no where to get supplies unless you can get a ride. A nice place to dock for the night.

Called lockmaster on VHF 14. The lock was empty and open so he brought me straight in. Had me pull to starboard wall, dropped me down 1 rope to tie on with. Locking was smooth and quick.

Similar experience to others posting here. Called the lockmaster from the river. He instructed me to come in the canal and tie up on the backside of the short wall. Plenty of room to tie off and wait. Had to wait about 3hr very busy and requires a bridge opening to enter the lock. The lockmaster coordinates the bridge opening for you. This lock just reopned Nov 25th, came through the 26th, very busy.

Called the bridge on VHF 13. Operator informed me he had to do a full opening to 125' and to wait for his signal before proceeding.
