This marina has been fantastic for us!
We stopped in at the fuel dock to fill up and make arrangements to visit for a couple of weeks. The fixed docks are in great shape. I'm personally a fan of the cleats on the sides of the concrete pilings for quick and easy adjustments while we settle on lengths to leave to allow for tide. Pumpout is a matter of grabbing a cart and doing it yourself, but staff is available to help if needed. The wave protection here is fantastic. We were on the very end and barely knew there were rough waters outside of the cove. There is a huge beach just on the other side of the parking lot. The people who are here have all been friendly, one even offered to loan us their car! We will definitely be back when it is time to visit family again.

Stopped here 5/9/21 on our way to Gulfport very near the marked anchor spot. Our anchor held very well even in winds that gusted to 25mph. We felt the wind from the S and SE but the waters were calm because of how close we could get to the island. Seems to be a popular locals spot and no wake protection from their coming and going. Absolutely beautiful island - white sandy beaches and lots of hermit crab watching while walking along the shoreline. Cell service and Wifi with AT&T was a little choppy but a few brief phone calls to check in with family were made without too much trouble.

April 13-15, 2021, this was a five-year anniversary stop for us! When we bought our boat in Panama City, FL - on the way back to Charleston, SC we anchored a few times, but this was the first marina we traveled to. We remembered it because of how friendly and helpful the folks were, and not just the employees. The locals here are always fun to chat with on the giant covered porch overlooking the water.
We enjoyed a couple of delicious meals at the Fisherman's Wife which is just a short walk away. The grocery store is even closer, as well as a hardware store for odds and ends.
You can see the age, but it is definitely safe, and I find it a charming escape and a step back in time.
We will always stop at C-Quarters for our crossings if they have room for us!

We went to this anchorage for 2 nights with 2 other boats to enjoy some beach time before we pressed on to other adventures.
This is apparently where everyone goes, and we met a lot of nice people. However, that does make for some heavy boat traffic, especially on a weekend.
LOTS of room to anchor though. Since there isn't a ton of wind protection, be prepared to swing any direction. We definitely did full circles.
The best part of this though was how close we could get to the beautiful white beach...it was an EASY paddleboard, and had it not been choppy, I probably would have swam in.
Weather permitting, this will easily be our top choice for anchoring in Panama City.
