When you arrive here you call the Bryan St Parking Garage to check in! It says $1.50 a foot but it is free. You can stay 48 hours according to the lady when I checked in. I didn't try the power pedestal because I don't need it. Nice dock, no facilities of course. Plenty of walkers, tourists and homeless people wandering around. If you want a quiet dock then go to the East one. It is newer, nicer and not so many homeless people hanging out. Love a free dock and this one is pretty good!

Good holding on 100' of rode. No wind protection, this is a fair weather anchorage. I just wanted a quick spot to drop the hook and this did the job. Little choppy until the sun went down but then it was flat calm.

Sign says 2 hour limit, daytime only. I arrived at 5 and need some supplies bad. There was some guy over here on his bike immediately when I dock with his phone out. So I said hello, asked about the walk to the grocery store and then set off to the store. I arrived back at 7pm put my stuff on the boat and was going to use the bathrooms when and the local police were pulling in! He said they had a complaint that I was there!!!!!!!! No big deal, the officer was only doing his job and was really nice. I told him I just got back and was heading out to anchor so all was good. Moral of the story though, don't spend your money in St Simons if this is how the people act to boaters on a free dock!

The weather got severe, tornado warnings issued the second day. My guess were we had winds of 45kts+ during that storm. Anchor held tight through it all! Not much wind protection here but holding is excellent. Free dock is around the corner to land a dinghy. Church bells add a nice touch the anchorage.

Quiet, good holding, few power boats go by but not bad. Good protection all the way around. Cell service is bad, Verizon had an ok signal, AT&T and T Mobile had nothing. I would choose this over Cedar Creek. Go down to where it opens up to stay out of boat traffic. I anchor fairly close to shore, the bottom is very flat and depth is consistent.

I was here in little wind or current but holding is soft mud so should be good. The peace and quiet is insane! Such a beautiful place. No cell service, only PBS on TV...enjoy the beauty

Great free dock! No power or water but great place to stay for a couple of nights. If the wind is strong in the river it can be a rough getting docked. Most of the time it is very calm and easy docking. Bath is a nice little town to explore

Stayed here Labor Day for 3 days. Nice finger pier docks, no cleats though. I called the phone number to register and they acted like they could care less. I just got an OK and then they hung up and never gave any info. Had the place all to myself except Saturday morning when people came to fish off the docks and in their boats. When you approach the docks it looks like it is far from downtown but it's not. Easy walk to downtown and easy walk to grocery store, convince stores and pharmacy. Only thing they need is to pressure wash the seagull mess!
