Great respite after doing a bunch of locks! Just what we were looking for; peace and quiet but the essential amenities of bathrooms, showers and bonus of laundry. True, there aren't any restaurants or grocery stores near by, but that's not what we were needing at this time.

Fantastic stay! Not only is the Dockmaster very good at his job, but he also clearly cares about the people who stay there. For example, when I had an electrical issue there he went out of his way to secure needed equipment for me until I could get my own. Also the food is great! Try Baked by Susan, A&S Deli (OMG!), and Piata Greek (I loves me some Saganaki!)

I wouldn't want to attempt a crossing of the Delaware Bay without first attending Tim's 4p briefing (even though others have done it without problems). Yes, the entry to the canal the marina is in can be tricky but the directions the staff provides is spot on. Need groceries? Instacart delivers. Restaurants, liquor store and ice cream parlor are all within easy walking distance. (Crabby Dick's has some of the best cream of crab soup I've ever had and I bought a quart to go!) The marina store has one of the largest selection of boat products I've seen for a marina of this size in addition to gift shop items.

Large, empty marina with a relatively easy entry. Channel had at least 5' when we went through. Of the 24 or so slips on our dock, only 5 were being used and 4 of them were transients. The gated grounds are well kept and the low-income housing across the street is an indication of the area; depressed. The marina has bikes you can use and a golf cart you can rent should you need groceries or what not. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Fisherman's Grille is a short walk with some of the best fried oysters I've had on this trip. One of the highlights was watching the crab fishermen unload blue crab right there at the edge of the restaurant! There's a visitors museum that was closed while we were there but has some really cool outdoor displays.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Have to agree with the previous poster, this is good for one night but nothing more than that and the empty slips reflect it! Because of that, I'd have to say it's an "easy in, easy out" marina. Staff is friendly and helpful, but I'm not sure I'll be venturing to the showers. It's a gated marina and from the looks of the surrounding area it's not to keep the boaters inside. We did receive a free piece of Smith Island cake upon checking in with the marina. Neat story behind it but I'm not going to go out of my way to get another.

Spent a few days here and enjoyed the quiet. Be sure to follow the markers as the channel can get shallow. We always had 5' under our keel though. Probably one of the easiest marina's to side tie up to and the fairway was plenty wide. Staff is super friendly, showers/restrooms are clean and the loaner car a definite plus to run into town for supplies. Upcoming Oyster Festival on the grounds May 20th sounded fun but we didn't want to stay in one place for that long.
