Worst anchorage I have been in for 2 years. We are in a 70 ft Hatteras with stabilizing system and we are being rocked by boat traffic all evening. This anchorage should be removed from the list. It's fine that an anchorage is by a channel and even a busy one but the quick rise in depth amplifies this location as the ferries hit with wake and it reflects back doubling the swells.

Famous creek for both an early Civil War naval battle and also the historic site of the sandstone quarry that was used to build the White House. Also the home of the first Methodist settlement in the US. A beautiful anchorage but watch the depth and tides. Well protected if you can get inside as entrance can be shallow.
