Stayed overnight in prep for transit down the Harlem River.
Staff was friendly and helpful, but…
No 30 amp electric on our slip
    No showers
    No WiFi
For bathrooms we had to use those in adjoining state park
Restaurants 0.8 miles up a very steep road
    Groceries not in walking distance

Stayed overnight. Lots of restaurant noise that quieted down, and train noise that did not. From here it was about 2hrs at 8 knots to St Catherine lock in Montreal.

Downbound pleasure boats, waiting to lock through, can tie up to a low dock to the right and outside of the entrance to the lock

Stayed on the Parks Canada moorings on the gray dock. No water or power, was given a key to the washrooms to use after hours.
Lots of restaurants and a large grocery within walking distance. Laundry also in walking distance.

Marrickville is a small cute town worthy of a stop and walk-around. Small, basic grocery store, ice cream shop, and several boutiques.

Parts of this section of the river were deeper than what was marked in the charts. Shallow downstream from the last green can to around the island, but plenty of water for the width of the river between that can and the bridge.
Easy dingy ride back down river to Kingston for lots of shops and restaurants.

Picked up a mooring for the night to time our passage through Hell Gate the next day. Wind was 15mph out of the north, so it was a bit of rock&roll. Good launch service 24/7 and they give you a key to let yourselves back in through the gate after hours. An easy 1mile walk gets you to the restaurant district of Bell Blvd where you can find a wide variety of ethnic foods. And a Carvel ice cream store. Just sayin'.
