Bight of Acklins, BAH

The triangular bight formed by Crooked Island, Acklins Island and Long Cay is surrounded by the dark blue of deep ocean. A thin-line of breaking white seas defines the fringing barrier reefs that are almost continuous around the archipelago. Next, there is a narrow band of brilliant light blue shallow water and the green of the land. Inside this frame the turquoise waters of the Bight of Acklins form a virtual lagoon.
