Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 35'
Draft: 3.0'Bridge does not respond to radio. A train was coming through. However, it was long gone and the bridge didn't open. We contacted the lock. They called the bridge. In a couple of minutes the bridge opened. We had a green light at the lock.

Draft: 4.5'Same experience April 17, 13.30. had to wait half an hour. It is a private bridge, we phoned and left a message. No return call, no answer on channel 9 on VHF.

Vessel Type: Sail
LOA: 38'
Draft: 5.0'Don’t bother calling for the Moore Haven railroad swing bridge operator because he is also the train driver. He has to stop the train, get out, go over to the box and flip the switch — so if there’s a train running the bridge isn’t going to open because the bridge operator is driving the train. We waited more than an hour, with no response to our radio call.
