Stayed two nights everyone was friendly and helpful until it was time to leave and we needed a pump out. The staff meeting was starting as we were headed to the boat. Now 45 minutes later they are training someone to do a pump out. Not impressed. We definitely were not the priority. Disappointing. On a positive note they apologized and did not charge us for the pump out.

As another reviewer stated this is a basic marina for amenities. The laundry mat is .5 miles away. The service and helpfulness of the staff is outstanding. We had to changeout a damaged prop. Sandy arranged for the work to be done after lifting our Ranger Tug 31 onto a trailer with a crane then launching with the trailer. Eric helped lower the radar dome and antenna. We were back in our slip the same day. The Lasalle bridge opened while we were on the hard.

Docks are very wide and stable about 40' long our 35' overall fit with some dock behind the dinghy. Two 30A outlets were included in the CAD $1.85/ft cost. Tax is over 10%. We were very disappointed the washing machines were not working. 10:00am tomorrow (Monday) did us no good. There is a nice grass park in front of the docks where you can throw a ball for the dog. The Dollar Store is .2 mi and a Walmart .5 mi from the marina.

We arrived Sunday 6/9/24 about noon. There are issues with the gates. We had called Saturday night to make sure the gates were operational due to the gate problem Saturday during the day. We called the lock on 68. The response was in French. When we arrived there were 2 boats docked, waiting. From them we learned the gates were down. They would not be fixed today maybe Monday or Tuesday. Also, there was a down bound boat stuck in the lock.

Communication where the gas dock and pump-out were located was unclear. Then we were directed to a starboard tie bow in. We had a bow-in port tie confirmed reservation. The outer piling makes a 12' opening for our 10' boat. If we were more confident in the dock help we might have tried stern-to. We were put in a port-side bow in slip. The dock is barely long enough to get off. Not the experience we were expecting. The snack bar doesn't open until this weekend. No restaurants close by. The looper dockage special was nice. Pump-out is new and fast.

There are two black pilings 20' apart that you have to back between. There is not enough room or dock to turn a 35' boat side-to for fueling. It is self-service. No dock help. With excellent boat skills and a crew of two a 22' boat might be able to fuel up side-to. A larger boat would have to fuel stern to.

Really good diesel price. The office manager was new. No general knowledge of boating terminology, but very nice and tried hard. They do not use a working channel. Dock help did not have radios. Young man had little knowledge of how to tie to pilings just wrapped it around once. Tried very hard to be helpful. No cleats at the gas dock or side tie. Fixed dock height was decent. Staff needs training.

We needed regular engine maintenance on our Volvo-Penta D4-320I-G. Dustin asked us to arrive early in the afternoon the next day to see what parts we needed. They wanted to have all parts for the work on hand. Bob made a list of part numbers. He even made us a copy. The following morning Timothy was on board. He had everything completed by 11:30. He answered all questions willingly. He has great knowledge and skills. We definitely recommend them highly. They also have a courtesy car we used to re-provision.

Free laundry, showers laundry and restrooms by dock 1 and dock 10 and air conditioned. Club house is by dock 10 for social events. It is .4 miles from dock 1 however. Fenced dog park by dock 1. Would definitely stay here again.

Slip was tight 13' for our 10' beam. Our 31' ranger tug freeboard was a few inches above the dock at highest high tide and a step up not ramp from the finger dock to main dock. 2 Commercial front load washers and 2 dryers $3 each, used app pay, were outside. Only place to fold clothes was dirty washer tops. It is being renovated to floating docks in sections summer of 2024.

We traveled further in than the marked anchorage to the start of the lake with our 2.5' draft and 10' beam. Trees hang over the water much of the way in with 15' horizontal clearance between trees, in places. Lowest depth coming out 4' tide 0'. No place for the dog to play but easy to let him off on shore by dinghy. Quiet except for a few fisherman who generally didn't care about their wake. Cell service 1 bar with Verizon, wifi with a jetpack or phone not consistently available.

The only negative is the office is on the fuel dock and a good 1/2 mile from the slips. They have everyone stop at the fuel dock so you don't have to do that walk. Very friendly staff. Other boaters helped us dock. The laundry was $2 a load but extra large machines. The showers were the best so far. One shower had handicap rails. The laundry, showers and lounge were all in one building at dock level. The lounge area was large with a big table and lots of chairs including rockers. The dog relief was up a steep ramp on shore. The primary docks are long making it a long walk to the showers etc. There are port and starboard finger docks so you have a choice of tie.

Easy to set anchor, good holding, anchor came up fairly clean. We have AIS and used the anchor light. The barges that passed only rocked the boat gently. Great sand beach for the dog and to stretch your legs if so inclined. The light winds 5-10 kts cancelled the current but we did not wander. We held a 45 degree angle away from shore all night. 1-2 bars with Verizon.

Very helpful staff. We loved the free do it yourself pumpout from the slip. We were having a head sensor problem. We were able to pump several times. 11/18/23 the marina hosted a pre-Thanksgiving potluck dinner for everyone. All we need to do was bring a dish to pass. There is a Walmart and Kroger 10 minutes away using the courtesy car. Covered docks can accommodate 20' air height. There is plenty of room to throw a ball for a dog. Great stop, highly recommended.

The docks are still in rough shape from the tornado, but usable. Extra fenders are recommended. The straight wall before you come to the gas dock has water and electric. The way in is for shallow draft only 4.8' in some places. The office has you call John to guide you in. Call before you leave the main channel. There is a green sign on the LDB that says Aberdeen. The channel to the marina is marked with homemade markers. John stayed on the phone until we were at the marina. He loved helping and is very friendly. Best diesel price we've seen $3.79.

Anchored across from the dinghy dock 8' water. Holding was good. Light wind 5-7 kts. Go past the day marker (down river). Followed the markers in, be sure to keep the first green marker to port. We followed a line from the day marker to the first green marker shallowest was 5'. Going further past the marker before turning may get more depth. We draft 2.5'. Two boats with us anchored just out side the marked channel on the down river side.
