Wonderful stop for 2 nights after coming down the ICW from Virginia. Floating docks in great shape. Enjoyed the pool and watching the Ferry to/from Bald Head Island. Sandy was very accommodating and helpful in every way. Clean restroom and free laundry a plus. Bill from Bill's ride share picked us up and took us to Walmart for provisions. Would definitely stay here again.

Looks like pretty new floating docks. Very nice pool and showers. Restaurant next door but did not try it. Dock master very nice and helpful. Stayed on T-head, yet protected. A ferry runs every 45 minutes, get a little current when it swings around, but not bad or long lasting. Further from town but we were only staying one night and had been before. Not comfortable with nearby anchorages. Plus the price was right at 2$ a foot. Wi-Fi was good as well.

Great overnight stop. Strong floating docks with good utilities. Although shopping/dining is not on site it can be accessed through Uber or your own bike/walk. Pool on site if that is an interest to you. Some rocking occurs when the ferry boats arrive but it is certainly manageable. Monitor AIS for incoming ferries when you depart. Friendly staff. Priced much better than some of the neighboring marinas.

This was my second stay at Deep Point Marina in Southport. The first was two years ago when I came through the area with another captain. I stayed three nights this time around to take advantage of reasonable rates and their sheltered basin to wait out rough weather. Docks in great shape. Good facilities including fast WiFi, restrooms with clean private showers, laundry, and a pool. Great, friendly, helpful staff. Dog friendly; lots of places to walk your pup for exercise and potty breaks. Conveniently located at the Bald Island Ferry terminal if you want to make a trip to the island without taking your own boat through what is usually a rough inlet and paying the much higher per foot rate at the Bald Head Island Marina. (Keep in mind that you don't want to come into the basin as the ferry is leaving; the channel is relatively narrow.) Note that this marina is NOT in downtown Southport; it's about 1 1/2 miles by bike or foot. The area is served by taxi companies. Recommended.
