Bahia Honda State Park, FL
Bahia Honda State Park & Marina is a beloved stop. The slowly disintegrating Old Bahia Honda Bridge located at the island's western end is a national historic monument. The Old Bridge has a span removed so that sailboats can pass through into the cove between the Old Bridge and the newer Bahia Honda Bridges (20-foot fixed vertical clearance).
Two of the nicest beaches in the Keys are located at Bahia Honda State Park. The palm-rimmed Calusa Beach near the concession stand is sheltered and roped off for swimming and snorkeling. The park concession stand sells snacks and ice. There are also three nature trails.
