Ocean City, NJ
The resort town of Ocean City is set between the Atlantic Ocean, Great Egg Harbor Inlet and Great Egg Harbor Bay with elegant homes and a splendid beach. Docks run side-by-side along the NJ ICW route on the city waterfront and also across the harbor in Somers Point.
Ocean City is a good take-off point for one of the NJ ICW’s most attractive side cruises. The route runs along an unspoiled wilderness river that is unknown even to many resident mariners. Meandering west from Great Egg Harbor Bay, Great Egg Harbor River is safe and well-marked with deep cedar-stained waters and marshy pine-lined banks that offer a glimpse of the unspoiled New Jersey of old.
