We were looking forward to staying at Kingsmill, it seemed great mostly because of the proximity to Williamsburg and Jamestown. After tying up, we find out the pump out is not available, there is no WiFi, no laundry, the single bathroom with a shower is open to the public and was filthy and no hotwater.
John the harbor master was apologizing, but can only work with what he is provided. We feel this Marina has overpromised and rates ($3.80ft after fees) do not reflect their advertisements. We would not recommend as a transient stop.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

I want to give it more stars because of the resort amenities available with a marina stay, but it was disappointing. The marina feels more like an amenity for the resort guests than a real marina. No laundry or bath house and the staff wasn't terribly informed or eager to answer questions about the resort. Shuttle is now through a service and costs $12/p a day, which was not what the dock master said when I asked before booking. The breakwater offers no protection to the marina. Any wind with a southern direction sent the entire marina rocking. The pools were nice. Fitness center and spa were being renovated. Only tried the Mill and the food quality was akin to a cafeteria. Current price was a flat rate of $185 a night with a resort fee on top of that and was not justified.

Truly best stop ever. Great hospitality and service from the new dock master Mike. He arranged a shuttle to pool and to The Mill bakery/ Coffey shop in morning and pool in afternoon. We ate at restaurant for dinner. Food and service were 5 stars and very reasonable. I would even consider coming back without the boat and rent condo.

Good floating docks behind a breakwater but don't be on the facing T if higher winds are expected. Super location for visiting Jamestown, Williamsburg (free courtesy van) and Newport News Mariner's Museum. Nice resort atmosphere. Good restaurant right at the marina.
